- simvasta - simvastatin for high cholesterol (anti hyperlipidemic)
- nifedipin and amlodipin - calcium chanel blocker (antihypertensive)
- omeprazole - for acid reflux
- betaloc - selective beta blockers to treat high blood pressure and prevent angina
- cilazapril - ACE inhibitor for hypertension or congestive heart failure
- sindopa - dopamine for parkinsons
- all the above medications doesnt react to adrenaline in local anaesthesia
- non selective beta blockers like propanolol will have reactions to adrenaline
- adrenaline in LA contraindications include monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors or tricyclic antidepressants
- antibiotic cover is required for patients who had shunts (drains liquid from the brain) for brain aneuryms but not stents
