yesterday i took some extraoral and intraoral radiographs for a patient that i ve decided to choose as a candidate for case presentation but was still looking for a more suitable one.
and today my medically compromised patient was willing to be on it too! so i m pretty happy cos his case is pretty interesting (to me) and its prosthodontics (which suits me fine) and because he is medically compromised, so hopefully its gonna be a good case :) and yes 12 extractions will be done on him. full upper and a lower root overdenture. so i m pretty nervous about that. anyway he was really really nice (oh gosh i really love nice patients!) and he kept telling me he hopes that i will learn a lot from his case. so i felt really touched. cos rarely you get patient who really are so nice to student dentists. so yes, really thank God for my patients. and that He gave me one patient that was suitable for case presentation and also its prosthodontics! (i know its crazy but i have a thing for pros!) prayers are still the same everyday : hope that God will guide me to do my utmost best for my patients and that i learn from my patients too. i really really hope this year i get to polish my skills and be competent when i graduate.
so yes thats for today. its been about 3 weeks since i start 5th year. i think this year is gonna be awesome (in the sense that i will get to learn) but at the same time i tell people its more stressful that what you think, cos we have so much to accomplish this year and not much time to do everything. so yes i m keeping my fingers cross for the year. still very thankful and very very grateful.
